About the Scholarship
Chime Choir is proud to announce the inaugural Kevin Casey Scholarship, established in memory of Kevin Casey and his long-standing contribution to Chime. This scholarship reflects Kevin’s passion for creating opportunities for singers to grow and develop their musical skills.
This scholarship is intended to assist young singers between the ages of 18 and 35 who show promise and enthusiasm to continue their involvement with singing.
Scholarship Benefits
• Membership fees waived for 12 months
• Stipend of $500, paid in two instalments of $250
• Full participation in all Chime Choir programs
• Opportunities for solos and performance experience.
Eligibility & Conditions
• You need to be a Tenor, bass or baritone singer aged 18–35.
• Committed to participate in all choir rehearsals, concerts and programs for 2026.
• Committed to uphold the Chime Choir Code of Conduct & Policies.
• If unforeseen circumstances arise, recipients must notify Chime promptly if they decide to end
participation.
• If a recipient ceases participation, the scholarship becomes void from the date of the last attended
rehearsal or performance.
• The scholarship is not transferable; any remaining payments will be retained by Chime.
• The committee of Chime reserves the right to terminate the scholarship, should circumstances arise that require this action.

Submit your completed application by: Monday, 2nd February 2026.
All applications will be considered, and shortlisted applicants will be invited for an audition and interview.
Those who are not offered a scholarship may be invited to join the choir. Membership fees will be waived for all scholarship applicants.

What do I need to do?
Scholarship Applicants will be required to:
● Appear before a selection panel on 7th or 8th February, exact details TBC.
● Prepare two (2) songs of contrasting genres (e.g., classical and popular). Please provide a copy of the
music to the audition panel prior to the audition.
● Sing one (1) sight-unseen piece, to test your sight-reading skills.
● Undergo basic aural testing.
● Demonstrate vocal range.
● Supply their own accompanist (let us know if you need assistance).
All applications will be considered and those chosen for audition and interview will be notified.
