Joining Chime Choir

Chime Choir is open to all ages and sectors of the community. We welcome expressions of interest in joining the choir. Come to a free orientation rehearsal, followed by an audition with our Artistic Director. The choir sings music chosen from a wide range of genres and styles. Rehearsals are conducted on Tuesday evenings during school term in Wantirna, VIC 3152.

Some previous choral experience and musicianship is required, and there is an audition process to attain membership in the ensemble.
The Membership Process

The membership process is as follows;
  1. Complete the Online Application
  2. Attend some trial rehearsals
  3. Attend and successfully complete an audition as set by the Artistic Director
  4. Sign membership forms and pay fees
  5. Download TeamApp and then you're in!
Chime Choir Annual Fees

An annual Chorister Fee is paid by members. A pro rata fee level applies to members joining part way through the rehearsal year, which runs February through December.  For 2020, the full year Chorister Fee is:
  • $350 for full membership
  • $230 for students
A Young Performers Fee Subsidy award program is also open to applications from full-time student members of the choir.  Successful applicants are selected by audition and receive a substantial subsidy towards their student membership fees.

Seasons:  Our year is divided into four seasons, each culminating in a public concert performance:
  • Summer season (Feb – Mar)
  • Autumn season (Apr – Jun)
  • Winter season (Jul – Sep)
  • Spring Season (Oct – Dec)

Honoraria - Events for which Chime Choir is paid may result in small honoraria being paid to choristers
