June 2005 at the Veneto Club

We have performed Christmas Carols at Crown Casino, Melbourne, since 1998.
Mid year concert Mid-year Concerts are held each year. This one in July 1998 featured the Ivanhoe Grammar School String Orchestra & Percussionists. The Program featured modern works, including the Adiemus "Songs of Sanctuary", and several recently composed items.
Werribee Mansion: We were invited to provide some occasional music at various locations in the mansion one glorious Sunday afternoon.
2001

28 Aug Christmas in Midwinter A concert of favourite Christmas music, organised by the Southeastern Philharmonia Choir and also featuring the St Cecilia Singers of Ballarat.
12 July Mid-year concert

Centenary of Federation concert, featuring excerpts from Alan Tregaskis’ "Canticle of the Sun". The second half was a celebration of musicals from the 1940s to the present day.
29 June Arts on Parade Participated in this annual event organised by the Nunawading Arts Council.
Jan Recording session Taped backing music for an interstate musical production.

Including the first major performance of the Youth Choir.
21 Sep Civic reception Whitehorse Council recognizing our achievements in Austria.


July 6-16, 2000 - 1st Choral Olympics - Linz, Austria
2 Jul Arts on Parade Whitehorse Arts festival.
8 June Mid-year concert

Final concert before leaving for Austria.
16 March Kevin Casey, Family and Friends Fund-raising concert for the upcoming Austrian tour.

1999
Date Performance Details
June 11th Target launch for the CHIME Youth Choir Once again the Choral Institute of Melbourne is establishing a choir specifically for Primary and Secondary school age children. The launch coincides with CHIME’s 15th Anniversary.
May 22nd Opening of the YARRUM Regent Theatre An historical regional theatre with a seating capacity of 430 has been refurbished. Government funds have been contributed as this is a significant regional activity. The Premier may also be present. CHIME has been invited to perform over several days.
March 15th & 17th Opera in the Queen Victoria Market Once again CHIME has been invited to participate in the combined 200 voice choir and 60 piece orchestra. The program consists of popular opera chorus’ and several Pirate of Penzance numbers.

1998
Date Performance Details
November 15th Werribee Mansion CHIME performed in small groups, and as the full choir at the Werribee Mansion and surrounding gardens.
October 10th "Fourth Voice Symposium of Australia" Hilton on the Park, Melbourne. By invitation, CHIME performed at the closing ceremony.

1997
Date Performance Details
September Austrian Club, Heidelberg A full concert and dinner was held to celebrate the succesful Canadian Tour.
August Waverley Eisteddfod A smaller group of 20 performed 2 items, achieving a score of 95/100. The choir received an honourable mention within a field of a dozen choirs.
June 29th to July 14th Canadian Tour Performances in Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, and Lake Louise, coinciding with the Calgary Stampede festivities.

1996

March Opera Under The Stars CHIME joined a combined choir of 200 voices to perform popular opera highlights with the Australian Pops Orchestra.

1995
Date Performance Details
August Waverley Eisteddfod CHIME won the overall Choral Section, and the Most Oustanding SATB Choir award.
July International Tour to participate in the International Youth Musicale, Shizuoka, Japan CHIME performed before the Japanese Royal Family during the festival.
June Final recording of the CHIME Memorial CD to Kimberly Haswell, a recent choir member. A compact disk with 20 tracks recorded over the past 3 years. Released in October.
May A combined concert with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra A Sunday performance of Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn.
