CHIME endeavours to promote a relaxed, family atmosphere without compromising on the quality of our performances.
Since inception in 1984, this Australian choral organisation has assisted hundreds of families in their appreciation of quality choir performances. Initially targeting young adults, the organisation has grown to encompass those between the ages of 15 years and 50 years, the emphasis being on youthful singing.
CHIME has two main performances annually: one in June/July and the second at Christmas. Opportunities to perform internationally have occurred every three to four years.
During Melbourne's Christmas celebration, CHIME is a major contributor to the Crown Entertainment Complex's Christmas Spectatular.
Our staff of music professionals are ably supported by a number of committees of volunteers.
Our Executive Committee consists of professionals drawn from senior teaching ranks, corporate projects and administration, health and the arts. Our subcommittees cover such activities as social events, fund raising, grant applications, music administration, touring and finances.
What we sing:
A wide range: pop to sacred with meanderings through gospel and spiritual, contemporary, jazz, musicals and popular choral. Normally accompanied by piano, but often with orchestral backing and sometimes
a cappella.

- CHIME Choir
15 to 50 yrs with an emphasis on youthful sound - CHIME Youth Choir Secondary school and university ages (Currently being reconvened)
- CHIME Touring Choir Formed every three to four years
- Australian Christmas Choir
Formed annually in September in preparation for the Christmas season
